8/25/04 8:00 PM PST: Due to the flakiness and overall shoddiness of GameSurge.net, we have grown fed-up with them. So, we are moving to a new server. From now on, the channel will be located on the irc.freenode.net server. Since Space Empires V is around the corner, we are taking this opportunity to change the name of the channel from #se4 to the more generic #SpaceEmpires. You will need to update your IRC client settings to access the new server and channel.
Fyron will maintain a bot on the old #se4 channel, directing people to the new channel. He will also idle on that channel for a while, to help people make the switch. If you are not sure how to reconfigure your IRC client, join the old channel for help.
This web site has not yet been updated to reflect the change. It will be in due time.

8/11/04 6:19 PM PST: A rules page has been set up which outlines the rules that will be in effect during the chat sessions with Aaron Hall. Make sure to thoroughly understand them (there are only 3). View the rules.
8/11/04 6:19 PM PST: To help alleviate the confusion due to time zones, we now have a countdown page, configured to display the number of days, hours, etc. until the chat sessions with Aaron Hall. View it on the Count Down page. The script was provided by Tevlik (Chris Bok).

8/7/04 12:39 PM PST: On August 13, 2004, #se4 will be hosting a chat session with Aaron Hall of Malfador Machinations, acclaimed creator of the Space Empires series. There will be two separate sessions, to accomodate both American players and European players. The sessions are scheduled for 11:00 AM PST to 11:30 AN PST and 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM PST. If you will be unable to attend, you can post your questions in this thread over at Shrapnel Games Intel Forums. David Gervais will compile a list of such questions to be submitted to Aaron Hall.
